The reflective exterior of a consumer space distorts the storefronts reflected in its darkened windows. Black privacy vinyl used as a commercial security measure works with limiting visibility and replicating the outdoor surroundings. While the fleeting and unstable reflection constantly shifts with the viewer in physical space, the still photograph captures only the specific moment pictured. The reflected image is contingent on the position of the observer and the surrounding environment, including the time of day and amount of light present.
