Insatiable Will documents the process of its construction including purchasing the sculpture's materials at a big box store retailer. The video on the monitor in the sculpture documents waiting in the checkout line behind a shopper being rung up with the consistent beeping of items being scanned. Shot indirectly, the video documents the scene reflected in the mirrors in my shopping cart. The mirrors are assembled into a triangular formation and placed on top of the video monitor, creating a kaleidoscopic viewing tunnel. This offers an immersive experience when viewing the piece from above. The video monitor rests on its own styrofoam packaging.
