An anamorphic painting of the space’s ceiling sprinkler pipes is blocked by the pipes from one vantage point in the room. From the back corner of the space, the perspectival ceiling painting is hidden behind the drop ceiling sprinkler. The viewer’s physical location in relation to the work underscores an interest in active viewership and the disjunction between the lived experience of a site-related sculptural work and its photo documentation.
